So let's get started!  You should have arrived here from Annette's Blog!  If you are just starting out, please start out at the Pretty Little Studio Blog.
I have to admit I was a little nervous, because this was my first time working with the Pretty Little Studio Die Cuts, but once I got started, I fell in LOVE!!  And it was even more fun, mixing the Die Cuts with the Love My Tape Washi Tapes and Lace Tapes.  I created a layout, card, and tag with both products.

I used the LMT Washi Tape on my layout to create two pleated flowers.  I cut a 2 inch and 1.5 inch circle from cardstock, and then pleated the Washi Tape from the outside edge of the circle, to the center.  I finished it off by adding a wooden button to the center.
Supplies Used:  Patterned Paper:  Studio Calico & Dear Lizzy; Die Cuts:  Pretty Little Studio; Washi Tape:  Love My Tapes; Thickers:  American Crafts; Font:  Pacifico; Enamel Dots:  My Mind's Eye; Buttons:  Stampin' Up; Flair Button:  PandaEightDesigns; Wood Veneer:  Freckled Fawn; Chevron Mask:  Studio Calico; Baker's Twine:  Maya Road

For my card, I used one of the Lace Tapes and just pleated it across the center, to add a little bit of texture.

Supplies Used:  Patterned Paper:  Dear Lizzy & American Crafts; Die Cuts:  Pretty Little Studio; Lace Tape:  Love My Tapes; Letter Stickers:  Jillibean Soup; Word Stamp:  Dear Lizzy; Baker's Twine:  The Twinery

I used the Pink Polka Dot Washi Tape on my tag, to create the little "tassel" at the top.  I adhered the Washi Tape to the front and backside of a strip of White cardstock.  Then I cut along the edge and folded the piece in half and a off center.

Supplies Used:  Patterned Paper:  Crate Paper; Die Cut:  Pretty Little Studio; Washi Tape:  Love My Tapes; Modeling Paste:  Liquitex; Mask:  The Crafter's Workshop; Wood Veneer:  Freckled Fawn; Color Shine:  Heidi Swapp; Doily:  Hobby Lobby; Other:  Shipping Tag & Twine

I hope you found some fun inspiration today while visiting my Blog, but before you go, I have my own Giveaway!!  If you would like to be entered to win, become a new Follower and let me know in the comments below.  If you are already following, leave a comment letting me know your favorite color Washi Tape!!

And now you are off to Candice's Blog!  Here is a list of the full Hop order, in case you get lost along the way!

Saying Goodbye to Artful Delight

Today is my last post as an Artful Delight Team Member.  I have really enjoyed working with the fun Kits Leeanne and Debbie put together each month, and had the chance to meet some great Ladies, who are talented scrapbookers and card makers.  The April Kit was really packed with lots of great embellishments and papers from two of my favorite lines, Lucky Charm from Dear Lizzy and Color Me Happy from Glitz Design.

I decided to have a little fun with this page.  I used a piece of scrap paper, left over from cutting some heart shapes and then just started layering from there.  And I wanted to create a pie chart on my page, so I cut 3 inch circle on my Cameo and then several different triangles on patterned paper.  Then I arranged the triangle shapes over the circle to create the pie chart.  I also wanted to change the color of the White Prima Snow Drop flower, so I misted it with Mint Julep Mister Huey's Mist from Studio Calico.  There are a few extras on this page, that are not included in the Kit - Freckled Fawn Wood Veneers, Studio Calico Wood Veneers, and Flair Button from PandaEightDesigns.

Even though I won't be continuing on, after this month, you can still head over and check out the May Kit.  It has an awesome mix of Amy Tangerine and Heidi Swapp!!  Thanks to all of you who stopped by each Monday to leave a little love on my reveals for Artful Delight!!

AND before I go...two fun things you won't want to miss this week:

1.  Pretty Little Studio and Love My Tapes are teaming up for a Blog Hop starting tomorrow, April 30-May 2.  There will be lots of inspiration from the Pretty Little Studio and Love My Tapes team members!  And you can have the chance to win some fun giveaways!

2.  The Paper Bakery will be hosting a National Scrapbook Day Hop on Saturday, May 4!  There will be an exclusive Sketch for you to play along with, as well as an exclusive Cut File you can download for FREE!!  And, of course, some prizes to be given away!!

Only in New Orleans

Happy in between Saturday and Monday!!  :)  I hope you've been enjoying your weekend, and I am sure most of us are already looking forward to the start of a busy week.  I wanted to pop in today and share a layout I created using some of the goodies I received for my Guest Designer post with American Crafts, earlier this month.  I've been creating away with the package of product I received, and I still have tons of it left to play with.

I wanted to create a fun, eclectic look on this layout, because it documented our Mardi Gras day in New Orleans.

I used a lot of the new Amy Tangerine Yes, Please collection on this layout and the fab Stitching Templates she released this year.  I love to hand stitch on my layouts and I really loved using these!  I had fun creating the long title and mixed my journaling in as part of the title.  Like I said, this was a fun, eclectic page.  :)

That's all for today, but make sure you check back this week, because my Blog will be hopping!!...it will be busy and literally hopping, with two Blog Hops this week!!  :)

The End of an Era

It is time to do the happy dance in our house!  After 7 years of having at least one of our three children in diapers, we have finally become diaper FREE!!  It's been a rough road with #3, but I think we've finally reached the point of success.  Still working some things out, but for the most part, big boy underwear are in the house!  Of course, I had to snap a pic of the occasion...and don't worry, he is not actually using the potty in this photo!!  :)  This was just on the way out of the bathroom, so I could get a behind (literally) shot.

I wanted to have a fun energetic layout for this photo, so I used some of the new Boy Crazy line from My Mind's Eye!  So cute for little boy pages...and versatile for other layouts too.  I mixed in a little bit of Elle's Studio tags...and voila, all done!  The Triangle cut out from the Cameo worked for two purposes on this page.  I used the negative cut behind my photo and layers and then used some of the positive triangle pieces for a border along the bottom of the layout.

Of course, my son will probably cringe when he sees this page in his teenage years, but I'm the mom, so I get to say what goes!!  HA!

Sweet Moments

Today, I have a DT free post to share!  :)  I've been squeezing in some time for a few challenges here and there, and decided to play along with the April Sketch Challenge on the My Mind's Eye Blog.  I had placed an order earlier in the year for some of the new Boy Crazy collection, and I went shopping at my LSS store last week and found a plethora of MME products.  I stood there forever trying to decided what I wanted and actually ended up going with one of the lines from last year, Nostalgia.  It is FAB-U-LOUS!!  Not sure why I never picked up any of this line before.  I loved the light Salmon Pink and Teal colors with the dark rich Brown.  I mixed in a few other MME goodies, and here's what I came up with:

I flipped the Sketch to fit my photo, but stayed fairly close otherwise.  For the area behind my photo, I used one of the circle cuts from the Silhouette store.  I placed some of the patterned papers from the Nostalgia line behind the die cut, and also embossed some vellum circles and added those behind the die cut as well.

Thanks for stopping in!  Make sure you check back, in the upcoming weeks, because I'll be sharing new layouts for The Paper Bakery, Get It Scrapped, and Let's Get Sketchy.  I'll even have a few other things thrown in, here and there!!  :)

Products Used: Patterned Paper, Wood & Chip Buttons, Stick Pins, Enamel Dots:  My Mind's Eye; Wood Veneers:  Studio Calico; Wood Stick Pin:  Little Yellow Bicycle; Baker's Twine:  The Twinery; Vellum:  Fynmark; Letter Stickers:  Jillibean Soup; Font:  Pacifico; Other:  Shipping Tag

Happy, Happy, Happy

...to quote one of my favorite Duck Dynasty men, Phil Roberston!  And I have two layouts to share today, that make me happy because, of the fun, bright colors!  My first page is for Artful Delight, using the April Kit.

I wanted to try out a Rainbow effect on this layout, and decided to create my Rainbow look using hearts cut from the Silhouette Cameo.  I cut a curved shape out of cardstock and traced a faint pencil line, onto my White background cardstock.  The 5 larger hearts starting at the top of the page, were cut at 2 inches, and the 4 smaller hearts were cut at 1.5 inches.  I arranged the top and bottom center points of the heart shapes to match up along my pencil line.  After putting all of the hearts in place, I went back and adding stitching in alternating colors.  I added one little extra, not included in the Kit, and that is the cute Flair Button from PandaEight Designs.

My second layout, is for our new reveal today, at Let's Get Sketchy!  I used some of the new Amy Tan Yes, Please collection and My Girl collection from American Crafts on this layout!!

I loved the bright colors, to go along with our Easter Egg Dyeing photos.  And I liked the fact that both of these lines are out of context with Easter, but they still worked with the theme of my page.  I used my Cameo to cut the large circle shape for the background and added some smaller circles and stitching around the large circle.

Stick 'em Up!

Nope, it's not a hold up...just a new project I'm sharing today, over at The Paper Bakery!!  I have mentioned my little obsession for the coffee stir sticks.  They are so fun to use on your layouts, and for today's project, I decided why not pair them with the Custom Flair buttons, that Sarah adds to the amazing monthly Kits.  The April Kit, Lemonade Stand, had a fun mix of Lily Bee, Dear Lizzy, awesome Printables...and of course, Flair!!  I thought it would be fun, to feature the Flair on a few pre-made stick embellishments.  Here's what I came up with:

These were easy peasy!!  You can use popsicle sticks for these embellishments, or next time you're at your local coffee shop, pick up a few of the stir sticks!  I used some bits from the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection and the Flair buttons from the Kit, to create several different looks.  This is also a perfect way to use up those last little bits in your Kit.  Add in a few little extras like baker's twine or paper clips and Voila!...ready made embellishments for your next layout.

I also used my last stick embellishment on a layout, based on our first Sketch for April, created by Juliana Michaels.  You can play along with us each month, for your chance to win some scrappy goodies from The Paper Bakery.  I'll share the sketch and a sneak of my layout, and if you would like to see the full page, stop by The Paper Bakery Blog!!

The challenge for this Sketch will remain open until Midnight tonight, if you would like to play along and link up on The Paper Bakery Blog.  If you miss out on this one, a new Sketch will be posted Sunday, April 21st, and you won't want to miss it!!
